The most affordable zoom lens in the entire EF lens system. Light and ultracompact, this lens isn’t lacking for optical performance–it has an Aspherical lens element for better optical quality, and its close-focusing allows filling the frame with a subject the size of a postcard at its 80mm focal length. It’s a great entry into SLR photography and the EOS system.
